Statesville Owls College Baseball Club

The Statesville Owls College Baseball Club is an organization whose mission is to provide a safe and life changing environment through baseball. Our primary goal is the development of youth baseball through camps and seminars specifically targeted at boys and girls who love the game but may have been hindered in their ability to play due to their economic environment. Our secondary goal is our collegiate program offering college players from around the country the opportunity to further their baseball and life skills during an intensive seven week summer season while coaching and counseling youth players. Our collegiate players will be required to make personal appearances at various functions involving young children enabling them to teach baseball technique and the importance of education while pointing them towards a positive lifestyle through sport.

Our players and coaches will teach young players the skills of the game required to play baseball and further their capabilities in hopes of playing baseball in middle school, high school and college. If we can touch one child and make a positive impact in their life our mission will be complete, however our hope is to instill these players with a love for the game and inspire all to work hard in school and on the field to reach a level of skill allowing them the opportunity to further their dream beyond baseball and excel in the classroom and earn a college scholarship furthering their studies beyond high school.
During the seven week season the collegiate team will be playing a fourteen (14) home game series at Statesville Senior High School. During this home season our organization will be soliciting local businesses for sponsorships in an effort to raise funds in support of our youth programs and to improve the Statesville High School baseball facility. The money raised will be used for:

· Promote the importance of education
The Statesville Owls will also be working closely with the Major League Baseball RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) program in bringing baseball to minority youths in Statesville, Charlotte and Hickory, North Carolina areas.
Our charter is to expand baseball beyond the field, bringing baseball to all that want to learn the importance of sportsmanship, leadership and education.
